Sales Talent
A high-ticket closer owns a qualified opportunity from discovery through close. Here's what the role actually involves, day to day.
A high-ticket closer owns a qualified sales opportunity from the first call through close and follow-up, typically on offers priced at $10,000 or more. Unlike a transactional sales rep working high volume and low price points, a closer runs fewer conversations but is responsible for the full arc of each one: discovery, presentation, objection handling, and getting the prospect to a decision.
The best closers spend most of the call listening, not talking. They diagnose the prospect's actual situation before presenting anything, and they're comfortable asking questions that might disqualify a deal - because chasing a bad-fit prospect wastes everyone's time. Discovery quality is usually the single biggest predictor of close rate, more than any objection-handling script.
Proof of performance for a closer usually includes average deal size, largest deal closed, monthly closed revenue, close rate, call volume, sales cycle length, and what offers they've sold previously. Any closer who can't speak to these numbers specifically is usually one to be cautious about.
Setters create the qualified conversations; closers convert them. Some businesses need both, some need one depending on how their pipeline already works - we cover that split in detail in our appointment setter vs. closer breakdown.
If you're a closer with a track record on $10K+ offers, we're actively placing on active client accounts - see what's open on our offers page.
